It’s hard to even say this, but I hated seeing old pictures of myself. I even used to hide from family who were taking pictures.
I bet some of you know that feeling.
It seemed like after having my kids... My waist never went back to its original shape (and that wasn’t perfect either!).
I've probably tried everything out there to lose weight. I even stopped drinking my favorite Caramel Macchiato. I thought I was going to die without them!
Trying to juggle the roles of mom, wife, homemaker, career woman, and fitness enthusiast (which I wasn't and am still not)... all at once created a mountain of stress. With all this stress, I was fighting an uphill battle of the bulge.
The intimacy between me and my husband had long since faded, and I dreaded the thought of him coming near me.
I was so angry, sad, and tired of being this size... I was miserable. I wasn't a great mother, wife or partner. I knew it, but was powerless to change it.
Or so I thought.
It all started after an incident at my nieces graduation. I was sitting in the hot early summer sun when I fainted. I ended up in the hospital listening to a doctor talking to my husband.
He said I needed to get myself healthy or I was headed for more health problems down the road. He said I had a heat stroke, and today I was lucky. I was SO EMBARRASSED!
The day I was released, one of my best friends(Jess) came with my husband to pick me up. She told me about our other friend Denise who lost half of her size over the winter. Jess then sent me a link to an Instagram post that Denise saw.
This post is what helped her get her new slim figure.
Later that evening was feeling down and remembered the video link. I pulled it up and watched, but didn't think much of it.
I started becoming more curious about it when I kept seeing this "coffee recipe" (some call it a hack) on Facebook and again on Instagram. I remembered the pictures Jess showed me of Denise... she looked so good I decided to try it.
What did I have to lose? INCHES!
Today, I am so grateful I decided to try it!
What would have happened if I had thought it was just another gimmick and walked away? I wouldn't be down 67 pounds that's for sure!
I used to think my problems were related to what I ate, my genes or how much I exercised. But this isn't the case at all. I learned two things about my issue of being overweight, and why this simple recipe works for me:
#1. It works by supporting the body's ability to torch unwanted belly flab by increasing the metabolism. Everyone knows that coffee alone does this...then you add the recipe and you just torch inches!
#2. It keeps your energy level up so you can burn your excess inches faster, longer and stay active.
And this coffee tweak just melted away my spare tire. How crazy is that?
Also, I've started drinking my favorite Caramel Macchiato again - yay!
I even surprised my doctor and staff at my annual checkup - they couldn't believe how much I had changed. Just another bonus of the slim new me!
After 30 long years of seemingly being stuck at 239, I finally reached my goal weight...133! It feels like a dream to have hit this goal, and I am so proud of myself!
I will say this, I couldn’t be happier!
And I passed this coffee recipe on to my daughter, and you know what?
She recovered from her third pregnancy in less than a year while in her mid 30s - a double win for the family!
Oh, and my husband's attention is focused right on me!
